HR & Payroll Admin Seattle, WA | Part-Time

Job Description

Sporcle is looking for an HR & Payroll Admin to support day to day functions. Please note: This position begins at 25 hours per week. Depending on workload, there may be an increase in hours periodically.

Payroll

  • Prepare and process weekly and semimonthly payroll for all business units
  • Manage the reimbursements and perks process
  • Assist Finance Manager with monthly and weekly reports
  • Set up and maintain employee payroll data
  • Point of contact for payroll questions

Onboarding and Offboarding Across All Business Units

  • Handling of paperwork
  • Creation of Paychex and Salesforce accounts
  • Employment Amendments
  • Conducting follow ups with new hires to ensure all documents are completed accurately

Escalations & Terminations

  • Guide, coach, and assist teams on how to handle host issues while staying in compliance

Federal Compliance

  • Backfilling information
  • Ensuring all profiles and files are accurately and completely filled out
  • Create efficient ways to present and store information

HRIS Audits

  • Backfilling information
  • Ensuring all profiles and files are accurately and completely filled out
  • Create efficient ways to present and store information

State Audits

  • Managing all state requirements for onboarding, terminations, and leave laws
  • Regulations and requriements on background and reference checks

Benefits Administration

  • Conduct benefits presentation for new hires
  • Manage enrollments and COBRA
  • Assist with employee perks, such as gym and workspace reimbusrment plans

Workflow Efficiency

  • Look for ways to quickly and effectively get tasks done within HR and recruiting

HQ Hiring

  • Sourcing, benchmarking, coordination of interviews, interviews (if necessary), compensation/offer letter negotiation
  • New Hire Orientation presentations
  • 30/45/90 day check in's to assist new employees
  • Ensure employees are happy, informed of policies and practices, and be a support system
  • Design, create, and implement process for background and reference checks

Metrics

  • Assist recruiting with setting and presenting monthly and quarterly metrics
  • Onboarding and turnover metrics

Employee Experience

  • Employee events & outings
  • Employee portal design, execution, and maintenance
  • Employee appreciate activities

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work out of the Seattle office on a weekly basis
  • 2-3 years of previous HR experience required
  • E-Verify, I-9, federal W4, and state W4 expertise
  • Knowledge of termination and performance improvement practices
  • Ability to quickly come up with solutions on tier 1 questions and issues
  • Experience with working nontraditional employment statuses
  • Previous experience working with remote employees who are spread out across the country
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to seek out efficient processes and gaps in current workflows
  • Salesforce and Paychex experience preferred, but not required
