More Info:
  • Sound changes follow regular patterns, and many languages lack some letters. Use this to eliminate possibilites.

The symbols ʻ and are treated as letters, and pronounced as a glottal stop (like the sound in the middle of 'uh-oh').

In Samoan & Rapanui, the letter 'g' is pronounced like 'ng' in 'sing'. The same pronunciation is used for 'ng' in Maori & Tongan.

Some of the words have slightly different meanings in different languages.
