1857 Creation of the oldest independant club now playing association football. They would not officially adopt the FA rules until 1878.

1892 This club is founded along with Newcastle United F.C.. Captained by Steven Gerrard, the club would become European champions for the fifth time in 2005. Their anthem is 'You'll Never Walk Alone'.
1893 Established on September 7th of that year, it is Italy's first official football team. In its earliest years, it principally competed in athletics and cricket. Association football was secondarily practised.
1897 A group of Torinese students found the club. The club's fan base would become the largest at national level and one of the largest worldwide.
1899 A group of Swiss, English and Catalan footballers, led by Joan Gamper, found the club. As of 2018, their players have won a record number of Ballon d'Or awards (11).
