Starting Goalie #2010 shutouts on the season and 3 in playoffs. Registered 6 in 10 games including playoffs. Turned 39 in playoffs but bailed team out constantly. Wore down vs Flyers.
Back up Goalie #37Last NHL season. Was excellent at MSG to extend team winning streak to 5. Last NHL start was crazy comeback win in Buffalo on March 15.
First Line Centre (Captain) #13 Second and last time making end of season allstar team. Suspended 1 game for throwing a stick into stands during Nashville game at ACC. Again hurt during playoffs. Came back in game 2 at Philly. Was excellent in the home games.
First Line Left Wing #7Had an excellent season; his last in Blue and White. Scored both goals in game 2 win vs Ottawa.
First Line Right Wing #19Last NHL season. Played on top line when Mogilny was hurt. Last NHL goal was in Pittsburgh in season high 8 goal performance. The game was the Pens NHL record 12 straight home loss.
Second Line Centre #21Had a great international career. Also last NHL season. Sabres goalie got credit for #21 scoring into empty net.
Second Line Right Wing #11Caused a stir in preseason when he claimed he’d need back surgery soon. Scored the last of team’s 5 goals erasing a 4-0 lead against the Sens. Hurt right knee in March and missed playoffs. Later took team to arbitration to settle money dispute.
Second Line Left Wing #16Was part of what other team’s called the biggest whiners in the league. Was hard to play against and had a 20 goal season. Massive hit on S. Kapanen just before Philly ended Leafs season.
Third Line Centre #25Whitby native was free agent signing. Scored big goals in first round vs Ottawa.
Third Line Left Wing #234th rd pick in 98 finally made club for good after 3 previous partials seasons. Previously wore # 39 and 22.

Third Line Right Wing #80Seemed to slow with history of knee injuries. Only 2 points in 13 playoff games.
Fourth Line Centre #14Scored first goal in first game as a teenager in last game of previous season. 8 pts in 13 games in February. Played 3 playoff games.
Fourth Line Forward #12Him and #7 played 1000 game in same game. Left for Bruins in summer.
Fourth Line Right Wing #28Faster than he appeared. His last playoffs saw him register his best Points per game.
First Pair Defense #24 Second team all star was good all season. Unfortunately had a horrible game 5 in Philly like rest of team. Teamed very well with Leetch.
First Pair Defense #22 Signed as FA. Played top 4 minutes. Career high in Assists and Points.
Second Pair Defense #15 Had a down season offensively. Never seemed to panic when he had the puck.
Second Pair Defense #29Debuted in 2001-02. Was a surprise that playoff but got hurt vs Ottawa. Had an excellent shot. Scored goal in only playoff game which was elimination game.
Third Pair Defense #27Was detested by fans as being a low hitter when he played for Chicago. Free agent. Only goal was in their 8th straight win vs Detroit.
Third Pair Defense #8Acquired for pick that became Cammalleri in 01 draft. Only missed 8 games in 4 years.
