C(WAR 41.93) The main cog of the 3x World Series champs for the SFG (2010, '12, '14). Won the 2010 Rookie of the Year, and the 2012 NL MVP (and batting title).
1B(WAR 70.88) Hall-of-Famer who played with STL, NYG, and NYY from 1936-1953. He missed 3 seasons due to WWII. Had a batting title for STL (.349 in '39), and had 51 homers for NYG ('47). Won 5 World Series as the Yankees 1B from 1949-'53.
2B(WAR 61.39) Hall-of-Famer won the Rookie of the Year in 1947, and added an MVP in '49 for the Brooklyn Dodgers. Played his whole career in Brooklyn and was the first African-American to play in the modern-era of MLB.
SS(WAR 29.56) Played his entire career for the Senators from 1933-'47, missing 3 years for WWII. His last name is the same as the first name of the DET thirdbaseman in the mid to late 1990's.
3B(WAR 22.16) A spark plug for the Angels from 2002-'09 before signing with SEA as a free agent. Had 278 steals in 7 seasons for the Angels, leading baseball in '05. He was a benchplayer on the 2002 Angels' World Series squad.
OF(WAR 151.04) Hall-of-Famer was 2nd all time with 4,189 hits. He's also third all time in stolen bases with 897. He had 12 batting titles, but zero World Series rings, and was despised by most.
OF(WAR 50.94) Played OF, 2B, and 3B for the A's and Tigers from 1982-'94. A great on-base guy who led the AL in walks 2x ('93, '96). Played from '95-99 with 6 ball clubs.
OF(WAR 46.66) The 13th player to hit 4 HR's in a game. He was the main piece of the trade that sent Ken Griffey to the Reds, and him to Seattle. Made one All Star game with the 2001 Mariners, and 3 Gold Gloves.
DH/1B(WAR 73.85) Hall-of-Famer who won back-to-back MVP's in 1993 and '94. Played 16 of his 19 seasons with the CHW. Had 521 HR's (tied for 20th all time), and 1704 RBI (25th all time).
SP(WAR 67.76) A 6x All-Star who was the ace of the 1997 Florida Marlins championship staff. Led the AL in wins with Texas (21 in '92), and the NL in ERA with FLA (1.89 in '96). After winning the WS in '97, moved onto SD then pitched 5 seasons w/ LAD. Ended his career going 14-13 with the NYY.
SP(WAR 58.12) The ace of the Athletics three-headed monster in the early-2000's. He went 92-39 for the A's from 1999-'04. He then moved to his hometown Braves, going 113-72. He added a World Series title in his last season, 2014 w/ SFG.
SP(WAR 50.44) A 4x All Star and 5x Gold Glove winner who won 219 games (133 for TEX). He was on the '96 NYY championship team, and the 2006 DET pennant winners. Has the same name as a country-singing legend.
SP(WAR 47.25) Pitched his whole career with BRO from 1907-'16. Career record was 134-134, but had a 2.42 ERA and a 1.2 WHIP every season of his career. Same last name as the lead-singer of Hootie & the Blowfish.
SP(WAR 40.47) 3x All Star who pitched his whole career with STL from 2005-2019. He won 19 games twice ('09, '13), and 20 games twice (2010, '14). Went 4-4 (w/ 4 saves) with a 3.03 ERA in 24 post season games.
RP(WAR 30.35) 2/3 of his appearances were as a starter. Pitched 7 of his 9 years for CLE (1916-'22). He went 31-12 in 1920. His son had the same name, and was a 2x All Star with the Indians.
RP(WAR 24.57) 40% of his games pitched were as a reliever. Pitched 7 years for BRO, and 6 for CLE. His best season was 1925 when he went 11-14 with 22 complete games for the Indians. Same last name as the lead singer of The Cure.
RP(WAR 12.31) Pitched 7 of his 10 years for the Brooklyn Dodgers (missing 3 for WWII). He was a spot-starter and closer for BRO, and went 2-2 with a 1.72 ERA in 4 World Series games. His last name is the same as the 'mighty one's first name who struck out in the Ernest Thayer poem.
RP/CP(WAR 13.45) Pitched his whole career with his hometown Braves. The Closer in 1980-'81, saving 39 games. He then became a starter in 1982 going 29-28 the next 3 years.
CP(WAR 10.25) Closer who saved at least 25 games for the Tigers every year from 1997-2000, and then '06 and '07. 235 of his 319 career saves came for the Tigers, but he did have 40 for the Marlins in 2005.
1B(WAR 54.16) Hall-of-Famer who played his entire career with NYG from 1923-'36. He was a 3x All Star who helped NYG to the '33 World Series. His .401 average in 1930 was one of the highest of the modern era.
OF(WAR 42.61) 18 year pro most-known for his Dodgers years from 1940-'47. Had 1,023 RBI (124 in '45). Same last name as the Georgia Bulldogs' Heisman Winner (1982).
OF(WAR 39.87) 6x All Star who stared up into the left-field stands as he watched Bartman take a ball away from him. The son of a major league manager (and player). The OF helped the '97 Marlins to the World Series title.
OF(WAR 36.19) 2x All Star who was the MVP of the 2014 ALCS with the Royals, then helped KC win it all in 2015. He has 403 RBI, playing for KC and MIL from 2010-'19. In both All Star seasons, he finished in the top-7 for the MVP.
1B(WAR 35.79) A solid hitter who started his career with CAL from 1986-'91, having one All Star appearance. He added 4 years each with KC and SD, and had 2,090 hits and 1,106 RBI. His nickname was the name of the amusement park the Griswolds were travelling to.
1B/RF(WAR 35.15) Mainly played in the OF for the Dodgers, helping them to 3 titles (1959, '63, '65). In '69 he was traded to MON where he eventually made an All Star team.
