C(WAR 68.71) He was one of the best catchers of all time. He has the most games caught as any catcher, and the highest Defensive WAR of any non-infielder. He was a great hitter as well, hitting .296 for his career, and won the AL MVP in 1999.
1B(WAR 50.22) He won the Rookie of the Year in 1958 with SFG. He played well for the Giants, but moved onto STL. There, he helped them win the 1967 World Series, and was the NL MVP that same season. He made the Hall-of-Fame in 1999 - the 2nd Puerto Rican in the Hall.
2B(WAR 67.05) One of the best 2B to ever play, he won 10 Gold Gloves and made 12 All Star teams. He was on back-to-back World Championship teams in TOR (1992, '93). Made the Hall-of-Fame despite being controverially spitting on an umpire late in his career.
SS(WAR 31.62) Before it was 'the norm,' he was a rare SS with power. He had 6 seasons of 25+ homers, mostly for the Brewers and White Sox. He was never an All Star as he had a high number of K's, and 3x led the league in Errors.
3B(WAR 24.89) He was drafted by NYY but helped the 2003 Marlins and 2007 Red Sox win World Series. (In '07 he was the World Series MVP.) He's the Marlins all-time leader in doubles, and is 2nd in RBI for FLA.
OF(WAR 94.45) Baseball isn't always known for role-models, but he sure was. Aside from his 3000 hits, his rocket for an arm, and his World Series MVP, he was a leader off the field. It was his early death at just 37 delivering aid to victims of an earthquake that made him a true hero.
OF(WAR 69.79) He won the 1999 Rookie of the Year for the Royals, and would eventually make 9 All Star teams. In 2004, he was a spark plug for the Astros in their post-season run. He would then make All Star appearances as a member of the NYM, STL, and NYY.
OF(WAR 54.41) A 2x All Star outfielder for the Astros in the 1970s. He hit .292 with 942 RBI in 13 years with HOU. His son played 12 seasons, coming up with SEA in 1997.
DH(WAR 38.66) Of his 17 big league seasons, 13 were for TEX (1989-'99, 2002-'03). He won two AL MVP's in 1996 and '98, and also made 3 All Star teams. He had 434 HR's and a career OPS of .903.
SP(WAR 45.85) His 165 wins are the most of any Puerto Rican-born pitcher. He came up with the Expos in 1998, before moving to NYY in 2004. He made an All Star game with the Yankees, and then pitched for ARI, CHW, and FLA.
SP(WAR 16.04) He's most known for being an middle-of-the-rotation pitcher for the late 70's Yankees who won 2 World Series. He did go 20-9 in 1978, but then went 7-16 for NYY and CAL the next 4 seasons.
SP(WAR 13.82) In the 1950's, he was one of the first Hispanic-born pitchers. He went 71-72 for the Giants, and helped them win the 1954 World Series. His last name is the same as the Addams Family's father's first name.
SP(WAR 13.51) An 8-year professional who pitched for TEX and CHC in the mid 80's to early 90's. He went 80-74 in his career, an had the same last name as the pitcher who won 30 games in TOR's back-to-back World Championship seasons.
SP(WAR 13.39) He came up as a promising young pitcher with SEA, going 39-20 in his first 4 full seasons (2001-2005). After leaving Seattle, he started games for BOS, LAA, and STL.
RP(WAR 16.18) A starter-turned-reliever in the 60's and early 70's, he made two All Star games with CHW in 1963 & '64. After he left CHW, he played for 6 other teams. He had the same last name as the Spanish conquistador of the Incan Empire.
RP(WAR 8.11) He was a left-handed reliever who helped the 2007 Red Sox and 2010, '12, and '14 Giants win Championships. He went 30-17 for his career, and has the same last name as 'Left-Eye' from TLC.
RP(WAR 7.75) He came up as a setup reliever for the Torii Hunter-led Twins teams. From 2008-2011, he became a solid reliever for PHI as he had a 2.73 ERA in 237 games.
CP(WAR 16.62) At first he was a middle reliever for CHC and PHI. But then he signed with DET in 1984. While there, he made three straight All Star games, and won the 1984 MVP and Cy Young. That season, he helped DET win the World Series.
CP(WAR 18.50) A 2x All Star who is 18th all time with 326 career Saves. He had 3 seasons of 30+ saves with CHW, and then had 155 saves in 5 years for TB and KC from 1998-2002.
CF(WAR 49.58) One of the 'Core Four' who helped the Yankees win 4 World Series. He had a batting title, 4 Gold Gloves, & 5 All Star appearances. Has more post-season RBI than any player in history. Now an accomplished Jazz guitarist.
1B(WAR 44.39) He originally came up with TOR as a catcher, but quickly moved to 1B. There, he was a power threat, as he had at least 30 homers every year from 1997-2006. He was a 2x All Star who left TOR in 2005 for FLA, and then the Mets from 2006-'09.
C(WAR 42.77) Another member of the 'Core Four' who helped the Yanks win 4 Championships. He was a 5x All Star who has become an amazing philanthropist after his retirement.
C(WAR 38.86) One of three brothers to all make the Major Leagues as a catcher. He played his whole career for STL, and helped them win 2 World Series. He has the 4th highest Defensive WAR of any catcher, and has had 9 Gold Gloves.
C(WAR 29.70) A power-hitting backstop who helped lead one of the best-ever pitching staffs for the Braves from 1992-2003. He helped ATL win the '95 World Series, and was a 3x All Star. He later moved on to play with BAL and BOS.
OF(WAR 28.25) An outfielder with the Brewers in the late 70's and early 80's, he was a good fielder who hit .271 as a career. He's the only player to hit an Opening Day grand slam twice. He was part of a massive trade with STL when he moved from MIL in 1980.
