(WAR 23.00) Played his entire career with PHI and CIN from 1943-'57. He was an All Star in '49, and a MVP candidate in '50 (he had back-to-back seasons with 24 HR and 68 RBI for PHI). Can't really offer a hint for his rare last name.

(WAR 25.07) Might be best-known for getting scared of a Randy Johnson fastball in the All Star game. He was a 3x All Star for PHI from 1991-'93. After baseball, he was on 'the Best Damn Sports Show, Period' and ESPN Baseball Tonight. He was a voice on MLB 2K10 through 2K13.

(WAR 36.46) Arguably the best-fielding 2B of all time. Ironically, it was his HR in the 1960 World Series that may have landed him in the Hall-of-Fame. Played his whole career for the Pittsburgh Pirates.

(WAR 61.56) 'Pebbly Jack' was had 2,041 career hits in the 19th century. He won a batting title for the NYG in 1890. He had 100 RBI in 1893 (a rare feat pre-1900).

(WAR 88.65) This Hall-of-Famer is regarded as the best to ever play for the Royals. He leads KC in hits, 2B's, 3B's, HR's, RBI's, and WAR. He won the 1980 AL MVP. Might have been the maddest human in the history of time after being ejected for 'excessive pine tar.'

(WAR 59.56) Hall-of-Fame 19th Century outfielder who had back-to-back seasons hitting over .400 (1895-'96). Has the same last name as the SFG pitcher who went 22-7 in 1993.

(WAR 34.20) 19th Century star who won the Triple Crown in 1878, and led the 1884 Providence Grays to the World Championship. Had the same last name as a famous dancer/actor who starred in White Nights opposite Mikhael Baryshnikov.

(WAR 34.20) A 4x All Star who made the majors along with his older brother Melvin (B.J.). He had 4 seasons hitting at least 30 HR's, and is currently on the IL as a member of the L.A. Angels.

(WAR 26.44) LF/DH for the Detroit Tigers from 1963-'77. He was a 4x All Star for DET, and helped them win the '68 World Championship as he hit .308 with 3 RBI vs. STL. He later played for 5 teams once he left DET.
SP (VA)
(WAR 70.89) Cy Young winner who just had his 2nd 20-win season in 2019. He won the Rookie of the Year with DET in 2006, and helped the Astros win the 2017 World Series. In 2011, he won the AL MVP. Married to a famous swimsuit model.

(WAR 55.75) Elected to the Hall-of-Fame by the Veterans' Committe in 1963, he won 266 games in his 21-year career. He has the most wins for Reds franchise with 179. He missed 1918 as he served in WWI.

(WAR 53.52) Won 202 of his 216 wins for the Pirates from 1912-'24. He won 20 games 4x from 1920-'24. Has the same lastname as the Brewers 1B from 1977-1987.

(WAR 33.80) Strong starter who won 20+ games in each of his first 5 seasons (1899-1904). He won 168 games for the Pirates, and helped them win the 1909 World Series. Has the same last name as the male actor in the 1999 movie, Cruel Intentions.

(WAR 24.10) 19th Century pitcher who won 80 games in 5 seasons from 1888-'92. Has the same last name as the Senator for Vermont who is currently running for U.S. President.

(WAR 28.57) A post-season stud for the Boston and Milwaukee Braves - in 1957, he led the Braves to the World Series, going 3-0 (all 3 complete games) with a 0.67 ERA vs. the NYY. Then from '58-'60 he averaged 20 wins a season.

(WAR 12.12) From 1983-'84 he was an All Star and Cy Young candidate who had 54 saves, and won 13 games. Has the same name as the All Star closer for KC in 2013-'14.

(WAR 9.35) He came up as a starter for CHC from 2006-'07. After that, he became a strong reliever when he had back-to-back seasons with a 2.45 ERA in 2010-'11. He then moved on to CIN. Same last name as the plan to re-build Europe after WWII.

(WAR 7.44) Member of the flame-throwing bullpen who helped lead MIL to the NLCS in 2018. A 1x All Star who went 8-1 with a 1.29 ERA and 15 saves in 2018. Came back to earth in 2019, going 3-4 with a 5.09 ERA for the Brew-crew.

(WAR 27.71) A 7x All Star who is currently 6th all time with 422 career saves. Came up with HOU where he had 225 saves, then moved to NYM where he added another 101. He would also pitch in the post-season for BOS (2009) and ATL ('10).

(WAR 51.44) He started on the Rangers from 1972-'78. His most impressive years were with CLE from '79-'83. He would make 4 All Star teams (3 w/ TEX, 1 w/ CLE).

(WAR 50.42) Played his entire career for NYM (2004-2018). He is the NYM franchise leader in hits, 2B's, RBI, runs, and WAR.

(WAR 33.80) A 19th Century player who had over 1,000 hits and runs in his career. Had the same last name as the central character in the Biopic 'A Beautiful Mind.'

(WAR 24.48) Mainly a 4th OF for the Orioles from 1972-'84. He won the Rookie of the Year in 1973, and was a 1x All Star in 1980. Often used to steal bases, as he had 252 in 13 seasons with the O's. Don't confuse his name with the dad from Married... with Children (he's 3 letters off).
SS (VA)
(WAR 24.20) SS and 2B who played his entire career with PIT from 1963-'73. In those 11 seasons, he was a 2x All Star and won 2 Gold Gloves. He wasn't much of a hitter, as he had just .037 in 10 games in the post-season. Same last name as the actress who played Rebecca Howe in Cheers.
1B (VA)
(WAR 22.04) As a St. Louis Brown he made 4 All Star games, and averaged 78 RBI in 8 seasons. He then made 2 All Star games with NYY in '47 and '48. In '47 he was a MVP candidate who helped NYY to win the World Series over the Dodgers.
