A Census Agglomeration (CA) is a smaller version of a Census Metropolitan Area (CMA) in which the urban core population at the previous census was greater than 10,000 but less than 100,000. It is eligible for classification as a CMA once it reaches a population of 100,000. 114 CAs were defined as of the 2011 Census.
