You may only enter the numbers 1-4 in the puzzle. They may not be repeated in a single row or column. Each "cage" (region bounded by a heavy border) contains a "target algebraic equation or target number." You must fill that cage with numbers that solve the target algebraic equation if you were to substitute them for "A" and "B" respectively. Numbers may be repeated within a cage, if necessary, but not within a single row or column. In a one-cell cage, just write the target number in that cell.
