Seattle, WA (April 2, 2019) – Sporcle, the leading provider of online trivia, today announced they have logged over three billion quizzes played since the site launched in 2007. This milestone is a celebration for the company, as well as for its dedicated user base.

The “March to 3 Billion,” as the month-long lead-up was termed, has been marked by contests on the website for registered users, including the 3 Billionth Quiz Play Sweepstakes for the person who played the 3 billionth quiz. Sporcle has also promoted a series of blog posts reflecting on what has changed since they reached 2 billion plays in October 2016 (see Content Updates, Features and Changes, and New Faces, New Publishes).

“Having our quizzes played 3 billion times is just staggering,” said Matt Ramme, founder of Sporcle. “We’re so happy we’ve been able to provide a community and platform for so many to create amazing quizzes, and for so many others to have a place to spark their brain on a daily basis.”

Speaking to this achievement, Derek Pharr, VP of Products, said, “To me, it always comes back to our users. I believe Sporcle has the best community on the internet.”

Sporcle has been involved in the online gaming space since January 30, 2007. It is known for such quizzes as Countries of the World and Find the US States. It develops new types of quizzes each year, which can be played on their site and apps, as well as embedded on third-party sites.
