Discover Geographic Challenges at SporcleCon!

Geography at SporcleCon

Calling all geography enthusiasts! Last year at SporcleCon, we explored the world through the highly popular Geography Pub Quiz. While we’re charting a new course for SporcleCon 2024, fear not—your thirst for geographic challenges will be quenched with even more exciting events, like the adrenaline-pumping Geography Eliminator. So, dust off your atlases and spin your globes; it’s time to prepare for another round of globe-trotting fun!

Geography At SporcleCon

Geography is among Sporcle’s most popular quiz categories, so it should come as no surprise that last year’s Geography Pub Quiz at SporcleCon 2023 was one of many standout events. The atmosphere was vibrant, filled with enthusiasm and friendly competition as participants tackled a variety of challenging questions, ranging from the depths of Loch Ness to the expansive plains of the Serengeti, making for an unforgettable and educational experience.

While the traditional Geography Pub Quiz will not return this year, we’re excited to keep the spirit alive by introducing new trivia games and formats at SporcleCon 2024. Our goal is to keep the content fresh and exciting, providing new challenges for our attendees.

One event that will return, however, is the Geography Eliminator – our dynamic trivia gauntlet that begins with a six-round quiz where participants answer four questions per round. The excitement peaks in the Eliminator Round, where the top 16 scorers must quickly answer questions under intense pressure. Success means moving on, while a wrong answer results in elimination. This process continues until only two contestants remain, who then compete in a final showdown to win the title of Eliminator Champion—and a cash prize!

Recap of the Geography Pub Quiz Event

To help you prepare for the Geography Eliminator and other geography quizzes and questions at SporcleCon 2024, we’ve included last year’s Geography Pub Quiz below. This will be the perfect primer for the types of questions you can expect throughout SporcleCon weekend.

Test yourself and see how well you can do! (You can check your answers at the bottom of the post.)
