A Little More –The Strait of Gibraltar gets its name from the Rock of Gibraltar, which in turn gets its name from Jabal Ṭāriq (“Tariq’s Mount” in Arabic), named for Tariq ibn Ziyad, a commander who led the Muslim conquest of the region in the eighth century.

The next year, the Vikings would lose to the Steelers in a low scoring affair (16-6). The Vikings final loss was against the Raiders in Super Bowl XI.
