Meet Sporcle for Kids!

Good news, teachers and parents: Sporcle has introduced Sporcle Kids!

Sporcle Kids is a section of the website that curates quizzes by grade level. Whether your student is in Kindergarten or 8th grade, they can take quizzes on sporcle.com to supplement their schoolwork, test their understanding, or learn something totally new. A variety of subjects are available within each grade – Books and Reading, Math, Science, Geography, Nature, Spanish, Toys and Games, and Puzzles – and, by their very nature, quizzes help develop spelling ability and typing skills.

If your homeschooling schedule looks like this…

“Here is my toddler homeschooling schedule. Any questions? 8-10am: frozen 10-12pm: frozen 2 *lunch* 1-3: frozen 3-5:frozen 2 *dinner* 6-8pm: frozen *bed*” - @swishergirl24

Or your week began like this…

“We’re having our own ‘Spirit Week’ at home since there’s no school for the kids. Today, we’re kicking it off with ‘Meltdown Monday.’” - @jellybnbonanza

Or if you’re thinking something along the lines of…

“Been homeschooling a 6-year old and 8-year old for one hour and 11 minutes. Teachers deserve to make a billion dollars a year. Or a week.” - @shondarimes

…then consider sending your children or students to “Camp Sporcle!”

Depending on a student’s age and abilities, they can review these quizzes alongside an adult or they can simply sit down in front of a computer and have at it. Sporcle’s mission is to create mentally stimulating diversions – so as long as they’re on this website, we’ll do our best to promote both fun and learning.

Pro-tip: if your student tends to work at a leisurely pace, or if they’re prone to test anxiety, consider using the dropdown next to the timer to change it to a stopwatch!

If you are a teacher, add Sporcle Kids to your list of online resources for education, retention, and distraction. If you are a homeschooling parent or another adult stuck at home with a bunch of bored kiddos, bookmark the page. If you are a kid and want to become a Sporcler, take some quizzes, let us know what you think, and make your own for other students to play. If you are none of the above, take a look around to relive your grade school days and consider forwarding the link to a friend who could use it!

Be smart, happy quizzing, and Sporcle on!
