Sporcle Live Spotlight: Rm. 727 Gastropub

(Last Updated On: January 9, 2019)

Rm. 727 Gastropub, Akron, Ohio

Rm. 727 is a high-class craft beer and cocktail bar, serving specialty craft beers, wines, and spirits, along with share plates in a laid-back atmosphere. Owned by the husband-and-wife team of Ethan and Aileen Moore, along with executive chef Ernie Cornelius, Rm. 727 Gastropub has created a menu that is as pretty as it is appetizing.

Shareables for the table are served tapas style and presented as they are ready. The local menu favorite – the Kraut Bombs – are house made with spicy sauerkraut, ground kielbasa, spreadable cheddar cheese and bread crumbs, deep fried and served with smoked paprika aioli.

For a change of pace, the Brussels Sprout Gratin option with roasted Brussels sprouts, acorn squash, Akron honey whipped goat cheese, and pumpernickel bread crumbs, is filling and tasty.

If chicken is your thing, the Fried Chicken and Jo-Jos are a must-try! It’s crispy chicken thighs, house-made Jo-Jos, red cabbage slaw and a southern-style biscuit served with honey and hot sauce.

Other chef-created entrees include the Prime Sirloin Steak, House-Smoked Pork Chop, Beer-Battered Fish and Chips, and Seasonal Vegetable Salad.
