Well, another year is just about in the books. Christmas has come and gone, and soon we’ll be singing Auld Lang Syne as we watch the ball drop on New Year’s Eve. 2018 has been a great year for us here at Sporcle, and we hope it has been an enjoyable year for you too!
With 2019 just up ahead, we thought it would be a good opportunity for a little reflection. And so we’re looking back at some of the best quizzes created on Sporcle in 2018.
Sporcle users never cease to amaze us, and this year certainly saw some incredible quizzes. We first have to highlight themightymoosh. Their fun new series called “Weakest Link” made up 4 of the first 10 spots on our top quizzes of 2018 list. Another new series, joeydeka’s “Geographic Minesweepers”, was also very well represented.
People also clearly like old favorites, like babymonkee’s “Odd But True Facts” series, and Noldeh’s “Complete It…With a Picture” series.
All and all though, this year we saw a nice mix of topics, quiz makers, and styles, at least compared to previous years. Video Game quizzes remain popular, with Fortnite and League of Legends quizzes making the list. It was also a World Cup Year, and taking the first spot on our list was a World Cup quiz.
