Chatham Tap, Indianapolis, Indiana
In September 2007, Chatham Tap opened its doors with the goal of bringing a pub in the tradition of the English “local” to the Chatham-Arch neighborhood of Indianapolis.
While keeping with the friendly and laid-back tradition of a neighborhood pub, it sought to rise above the “pub grub” level with a menu emphasizing sandwiches and appetizers. The award-winning menu is a unique combination of flavors and styles with plenty of vegetarian options as well as spectacular choices for the carnivores.
The Green Leaf Thai Wraps are a favorite with Chipotle-apricot chicken with Thai dressing, green leaf lettuce and a peanut sauce. For a vegetarian option, you can substitute Portobello mushrooms. Or grab a sarnie (sandwich) like the War Pig – breaded pork tenderloin topped with capicola ham, bacon, a fried egg, Swiss, provolone & Gouda, then drizzled with a jalapeno hollandaise on a brioche bun, or authentic Fish and Chips – the hand-cut and battered cod served with seasoned fries and tartar sauce. Every dish will leave you happy and satisfied!
And what would a pub be without beer? Chatham Tap offers a wide variety of draught and bottled beer from the best local breweries all the way to the best Europe has to offer. The rotating selection of seasonal and specialty draughts means there is always something new to try!
If you’re a soccer fan (and don’t mind waking up a little early), Chatham Tap is the place to watch your favorite team, whether it’s the English Premier League, Champions League, World Cup, or European Champions. You’ll find plenty of dedicated and knowledgeable fans (including the staff) ready to discuss every play.
Stick around after dinner on Mondays and you can throw your hat in the ring for Sporcle Live Trivia starting at 7 PM where the first and second place teams from each game win prizes.
So pull up a barstool, order up a pint and a sarnie, find your favorite team on one of the HDTVs, or challenge the table next to you to some general knowledge trivia. No matter what, at Chatham Tap, You’ll Never Drink Alone!
