Doc Watson’s, named for the family patriarch – also lovingly known as “Pop,” who took great care of hundreds of South Toledo families for 45 years and had a love for flavorful foods and spirits – is famous for a legacy of the highest quality, freshest food and drink, complimented by friendly and prompt service.

All of Doc Watson’s meats – the ribs, brisket, pulled pork, andouille sausage, chicken, roast beef, prime rib, and beef tenderloin – are smoked or roasted in-house. The soups are homemade daily, and the salads are made fresh to order.

First on the menu (for a reason) is Doc’s Cold Hot Dip, an intriguing mix of spicy flavor and cool temperature. The DeCarlo, made from chicken breast, bacon, and cream cheese in a pita pocket, is Doc’s claim to fame! The Broiled Whitefish dinner is served with a baby garden salad, rice, sautéed green beans and garlic toast.

Vegetarian fare includes the Jack or Boursin Grilled Portabella, Eggplant Sandwich, Spinach Pie or Eggplant Parmesan.

There are daily drink specials, with daily and monthly food specials, so no matter what you choose, you’re sure to leave with a happy stomach that’s light on the wallet.

You can catch live music every Friday and Saturday starting at 10 PM, and Sporcle Live Trivia invades the place on Mondays at 7 PM and Thursdays at 8:30 PM!

Located near the Toledo Zoo, Hollywood Casino Toledo, and the Toledo Museum of Art, Doc Watson’s is a perfect place to visit as a before- or after-outing meal.
