What is Jurassic World’s Indoraptor?
The film Jurassic Park was released on June 11, 1993, introducing moviegoers to the engaging and dangerous world of a modern day dinosaur park. Fans and critics alike were instantly captivated by the film, which led to the release of two direct sequels, The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park III.

Jurassic World

After the release of Jurassic Park III in 2001, the Jurassic Park franchise took a bit of a pause, before re-entering the Hollywood scene in 2015 with a new twist on the old story. Jurassic World is the fourth installment in the franchise, and was created to be the first film in a planned Jurassic World trilogy.

Jurassic World is set 22 years after the events of Jurassic Park, and centers around a new theme park that was built on the original site of Jurassic Park on Isla Nublar. The park is threatened when scientists create a genetically modified hybrid dinosaur, the Indominus rex, by combining the genes of some of the greatest and most powerful dinosaurs known to man. Though the powerful new animal was designed to attract more visitors and impress tourists, the scientist made Indominus rex too advanced for its own good. The dinosaur outsmarts his creators and becomes a threat to everyone around him. It is up to Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard), the movie’s main characters, to take down the beast and save the whole park.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

The sequel to Jurassic World, titled Jurassic World: A Fallen Kingdom, will be released on June 22, 2018. In this movie, Owen and Claire return to the now deserted park, when the island’s dormant volcano begins to show signs of activity. The two stars set off on a rescue mission to save the remaining dinosaurs from the island before the volcano erupts.

What is Jurassic World’s Indoraptor?

Among the dinosaurs living on the island is the Indoraptor, who will act as the main antagonist in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. This will be the first introduction of this dangerous hybrid dinosaur, and this will also be the last hybrid dinosaur introduced in the franchise.

What is Jurassic World’s Indoraptor? Well, we see the new dinosaur multiple times in the movie’s promotional trailers. In all of the scenes, the Indoraptor is depicted as a vicious opponent, attacking in many different ways.

What Does the Indoraptor Look Like?

The Indoraptor incorporates elements from two other commonly known dinosaurs in the movie, the Indominus rex and the Velociraptor.

The Indoraptor looks a lot like Indominus rex, but is about three-fourths the size. The dinosaur has toe claws similar to that of a Velociraptor, and is black in color with a gold-yellow streak that spans from the animal’s neck to its tail. Indoraptor has a head similar to that of a Tyrannosaurus rex, and can see well at night.

What sort of havoc will the Indoraptor unleash upon Isla Nublar? Get out to the theaters to find out! Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will be released June 22, 2018.
