Harry Potter: Wizards Unite
Harry Potter: Wizards Unite! Just the name itself gives a thrill of excitement, doesn’t it? Wait, you haven’t heard of it? Well! Let us be the first to tell you about this brand-new, virtual-reality-type game coming soon to a smartphone near you!

Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is your next addiction, and it is coming soon.

Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is an upcoming, augmented reality (AR) mobile game developed by Niantic for iOS and Android devices in the vein of Pokémon GO. It will be part of a larger set of games from the newly established Portkey Games, a video game publishing label of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. According to a blog post on Pottermore, Wizards Unite will be the first of a collection of console and mobile games set in J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World.

In 2019, Niantic pushed out a launch trailer that confirmed a worldwide release date of June 21, 2019.

The game encourages you to step outside with your phone, explore your local surroundings and take part in a series of adventures, such as searching for magical creatures and bumping into iconic wizarding world characters along the way. Crikey. Who knows who you’ll spot in your local park? You’ll also be able to cast spells, discover mysterious artefacts, and build up your very own, illustrious wizarding career. Yep, we can definitely get on board with this.

Yer a wizard, Harry

If you have been living under a rock for the past 20 years, the Harry Potter series tells the story of a young British orphan who, on his 11th birthday, discovers his secret past is far more magical than meets the eye. Harry Potter is invited to a magical school for wizards, where he meets many friends (and a few enemies). Throughout their time at the wizarding academy, Harry and co. fight dark forces, interact with magical creatures, learn about love and friendship, and discover a lot about themselves along the way.

Harry Potter: Wizards Unite allows real-life Muggles like you and me to enter Harry’s magical world and join the ranks of beloved characters to help prevent The Calamity from exposing wizardkind to the world at large. As recruits of the Statute of Secrecy Task Force, players must search for “Foundables”magical objects, creatures, people, and even intangible concepts like memories that are finding their way into the Muggle world. When players locate these Foundables, they use Spell Energy to cast spells that will send the items back to the wizarding world. Players can also gather ingredients to craft potions, engage in multiplayer wizarding duels, and more!

And the best news of all? This game is coming soon!

When will Harry Potter: Wizards Unite be released?

Get ready for an action-packed summer vacation, Hogwarts students, because we know that Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is coming to iOS and Android on Friday, June 21, 2019. This release date is a strategic move from Niantic and Portkey Games: according to experts, summer is a perfect time to release games like Wizards Unite.

During the summer months, school’s out, and the weather is hot. Families have lots of free time, and harried parents are desperate for activities that don’t involve their kids just sitting on the couch. The game is also coming just a few months after the latest of the Harry Potter prequel movies, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, debuts in theaters in mid-November… So, it’s clear that Rowling is making sure none of us escape from her Wizarding World anytime soonnot that we would want to.

Either way, the good news is that the game will be released soon. While you wait to unite with your fellow witches and wizards, you might as well brush up on your Harry Potter pickup lines.
