Sporcle Live Spotlight: Sharp Edge Bistro

Sharp Edge Bistro

Sharp Edge Bistro, Sewickley, Pennsylvania

The Sharp Edge Bistro in Sewickley is enveloped in 25 years Sharp Edge history in Pennsylvania. The Walewski family opened the first Sharp Edge location in 1990, and they have all become the go-to places for interesting and unusual beer selections in the Pittsburgh area.

Sharp Edge’s focus is on Belgian drafts, and the Sewickley Bistro has 12 taps to satisfy a range of palates, from the 5% Wittekerke to the sit-you-down Goulden Carolus Seasonal at 12%. There is also a wide selection of local Pennsylvania, craft and import drafts to round out the total at 30 different beers on tap.

If you’re not in the mood for a draft beer, there are over 150 different bottles of beer from around the world, as well as a full bar and exclusive wine selection.

Food at Sharp Edge Bistro is just what you’d expect, as unique as the bar itself, and it’s as tasty as the beer. A must-try is the Rocky Mountain Burger, a blend of buffalo, elk, wild boar, venison, and angus topped with cheddar cheese and pesto aioli, or you can create your own masterpiece Brew-A-Burger. Make sure to leave room for the Belgian Chocolate Pudding, made from scratch with Callebaut Belgian chocolate, topped with raspberry and chocolate sauces, whipped cream, a rolled wafer cookie and toasted almonds.

There’s Happy Hour Monday through Friday from 4:30 to 6:30 PM and Sunday from 2 to 4 PM, half-price crafts on Wednesdays from 8 to 10 PM, and Sporcle Live Trivia every Tuesday at 7:30 and 8:30 PM!
