Dale’s Bar & Grill

Dale’s Bar & Grill, Maumee, Ohio

Built in 1920, Dale’s Bar & Grill is steeped in history. This family-friendly sports bar is located in Uptown Maumee, a middle-class suburb of Toledo, Ohio, and here you can get your serious grub on while cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Grub, you say? The entire menu will have your mouth watering, and there’s so much to choose from, it may take you an entire afternoon to decide what to eat! From burgers, chicken, other assorted sandwiches, salads, soups, nachos, wings, and a TON of sides, you could visit every day of the week and not have the same thing twice. There is also a selection of sausages available, like the Wolverweenie, Dale’s traditional hotdog that you can top with chili and cheese, and it’s perfect to eat while watching the Buckeyes chomp down on Michigan’s mascot – or your other favorite team – on the 18 TVs inside. In the off-season, there’s a delightful patio where you can people watch or enjoy a nice day.

There are 21 beers on tap that change regularly, a massive slew of domestic and imported bottles, and wine.

On Sporcle Live Trivia Tuesdays, you can enjoy a cheeseburger and fries for $7.79 and 25% off all apps, plus $6 domestic pitchers. Wednesday night, you can try your hand at a “drunken spelling bee”, and if your life on Thursday after the bee, there’s live entertainment Thursday through Saturday.

O-H…! Oh, wait. You’re not in Columbus, but you might as well be! Dale’s Bar & Grill was voted The Best Ohio State bar outside of Columbus in Ohio. That says a lot because Ohio is full of Ohio State Fan…atics. So, go ahead and pull out the Scarlet and Gray. You’ll be in good company.
