Sporcle teaches us tons of stuff every day. If you share our thirst for knowledge, check out these 10 cool facts.

1) A movie critic for Time magazine wrote, “More than 24 hours has passed since I watched the new Adam Sandler movie…and I am still dead inside.” Find out which movie they were talking about by playing Clickable Critical Thrashings.

2) The Taj Mahal was built in 17 years by over 22,000 workers. We learned this while reading about some of the locations featured in the Is it in Asia? quiz.

EMEA-Stockholm3) Swedish and Norwegian are so closely related, it’s possible for Swedish and Norwegian speakers to understand each other without actually speaking the same language. The languages are 90% mutually intelligible, meaning that a Swedish person will understand 9 of every 10 words a Norwegian person says. If you speak Norwegian, Language Basics: Swedish should be easy!

4) If you’re a well known senator, you might just get an airport named for you. Check out Airports Named for Famous People and see if you can recognize each person!

5) 1991 was a really good year for Nickelodeon. Don’t believe us? Check out TV Debuts: 1991 and see for yourself.

grant_g_fhernandez3_sy_640116) Only 23 pitchers have ever pitched a perfect game in Major League Baseball. A perfect game happens when the opposing team doesn’t make it on base once – the pitcher can’t allow the other team’s batters to hit the ball, walk, or reach base by any other means. Find out who managed the feat here.

7) Some of the largest US states by area are also the smallest by population. Don’t get the two mixed up – try your hand at the Largest States Per Letter Minefield, and remember that the criteria here is land area!

Beyonce-Jay-Z-Best-PDA-Moments-Pictures8) Beyoncé and Jay-Z were prolific in the 2000s. If they didn’t record a song, you can be almost certain they were featured on it! See if you know the decade by playing Artist/Song Match (2000s).

9) The Titanic had just 20 lifeboats on board. They certainly weren’t prepared for disaster. Test your knowledge about the ship by playing this quiz.

10) Despite running about 3 hours, the average baseball game has about 18 minutes of actual play time. We learned this while researching for a #theresaquizforthat tweet. If you haven’t yet, head on over to the Sporcle Twitter feed for more daily facts!
