About the Quiz Maker

LTH has been around Sporcle for a good long while. A registered user since 2009 (wow!), LTH has played over 18,000 quizzes, has earned over 100 badges, and is a moderator of the site. We love him, we hope he loves us, and we love when his quizzes hit the homepage!

What’s the Quiz About?

‘US Capitals Letters Minefield’ seems like it should be a walk in the park, then it really sneaks up on you. Here’s how it goes down… You click play, see 26 large letters looming before you. You begin to click them, tentative at first, then after about 4 or 5, your confidence builds. You get a few more correct before… BAM! You hit a mine.

‘What kind of quiz is this!? Who are you to tell me  that letter isn’t a capital, what about _____?! Oh wait, that’s a state…’ (Tries again.) ‘WHAT, GAH! That must be a capital letter, it must!’ (Looks it up, is proved wrong again.)

Well, that’s what the quiz was about for us at least.

What Did Users Think?

jlinstantkarma commented ‘Whoops, picking W for Washington DC was a brainfart. It clearly says State Capitals. D’oh.’ (We understand, oh yes, we understand.)

tigerschick followed up with: ‘armadilloking – I clicked G in a panic with 2 seconds left…’ (Again, we understand…)

And finally Mantikore commented: ‘I nearly bombed with W because I was singing Wakko’s America.’

On September 8th, ‘US Capitals Letters Minefield?’ was played over 46,000 times, and ended up with a 4.2 rating. You might have had to play it more than once to get that shiny 100%, but at least you learned something in the process (and hopefully didn’t click on ‘X’!).
