Top Comments of the Week (10/15)

(Last Updated On: November 14, 2019)

We always love to read all the funny and insightful comments you leave throughout the week, so much so that we’ve decided to highlight our favorite five each and every Friday. Check out our favorite witty comments below:

1. From States with over 50% Gun Ownership:

ImpromptuJ: What about the states where the majority answer was “GET OFFA MAH PROPERTY! *BANG*BANG*BANG*”

2. From: Famous Duos: First Names

Beatlezfann: My odds of getting the Jekyll and Hyde answers correct dropped drastically after Dr. and Mr. werent accepted.

3. From: What Came fifth?

Nite: Actually, @dancastro, the phonetic alphabet is chosen not because the words are well-known, but because they all sound different from each other. That way when you’re on the radio and you can’t clearly hear what’s being said you can figure it out anyway and won’t mistake one word (letter) for another. It’s, incidentally, the same reason technically the number nine is read as “niner” in the official phonetic alphabet… it makes it sound unique.

4. From: What Happened First? (III)

Bobman1: Anybody else read it as “Stephen King becomes King of England” and wonder what the hell has happened to the world? I probably read that one three times…

5. From: Fish by Picture

hbaker: “Finding Nemo” did not prepare me adequately for this quiz. 🙂

  1. You spelled “your” wrong in the blurb about the new blog on the homepage.

It’s ok, I don’t expect to make it in the blog ever anyway.

  2. That might be a little too meta, maybe we’ll add it as a feature once we create the Sporcle Blog Blog.
