Sporcle Suggestion Box

We know a lot of users have good ideas for quizzes, but maybe don’t have the time to get them started, or possibly you have a ton of time on your hands but just happen to be short on ideas. We briefly had a suggestion box feature on Sporcle in the past, and now we’re resurrecting the idea on the blog. Here’s how it works.

1. If you have an idea for a quiz that you’d like to see on Sporcle, please leave the idea in the comments. It can be very specific, or broad, just any old idea will do just fine.

2. If you feel like creating a quiz based on the suggestion just claim that quiz in the comments as well. Just write “I claim XXXXXX idea’.

3. If you claim an idea; go off and make that quiz!

4. Once you’re done with the quiz, post the link back to the quiz in the comments.

Now, we might amend the steps above as necessary, so let us know if you can think of an easier way to do this. We’ll also be posting a similar thread on Facebook to keep things churning.

  1. I think there should be more south park trivia. there are plenty of non-verified ones, but they should get published.

  2. I think there should be a supermarket quiz with different brand names and you have to name what product it is. For example, if you said Snapple, the answer would be tea. That would be a lot of fun. And you could do multiple. I also really like the corporate logos too.

  3. Make Harry Potter quizzes comparing the books and movies after Deathly Hallows: Part 2 comes out (or just update it :)).

  4. A “can you name all the Studio Ghibli Films” would be excellent, i just don’t have the technical know-how…

  5. Great suggestions so far! Keep in mind some of these may have already been done, so you might be pleased to see what you find when you search for your suggestion first! I didn’t search all the above suggestions, but here are some I found:
    Studio Ghibli Films: http://www.sporcle.com/games/Frosc/studio_ghibli_films
    Sports twins: http://www.sporcle.com/games/notalenthack/twins_in_sports
    Sue Grafton novels (published): http://www.sporcle.com/games/grafton.php

  6. I would love to see a quiz that uses the flags of the world quiz (i.e. cycles through all of the flags randomly), but requires the capital and the country to be entered for the answer.

  7. I think it would be great to see (if it has not been made yet) a quiz for last spoken lines for TV series (e.g. one answer could be “Sorry, we’re closed” for Cheers).Maybe as well – for dead actors – last spoken lines in their swansong.

  8. I would like to see more music quizzes naming all the songs recorded for a group…Bad Co, Bob Seger, Lynyrd Skynyrd are a few that I don’t see yet.

  9. In Movies, “Twins as plot devices” I know Constantine, Eagle Eye, Beer Fest and obviously Twins have twins, but that is all I can think of.

  10. More safe-cracker quizzes, please? Those are so much fun. And in different categories- Greek Mythology, for starters.

  11. A pokemon quiz where there is a picture of the pokemon next to it. that could be all the current ones or just the original 150 or both!

  12. Would be great to see a quiz based on martial arts. For example, names of films by Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and Jet Li. Cheers.

  13. I’d like to see some more geography ones, especially rivers and islands. With a map. It means so much more with a map.(there are some good ones already in non verified)

  14. A quiz for all of the NYC subway stations. (I know there is one for London already, but a New York one would be huge and a great challenge)

  15. ughh i am trying to make an armored core quiz…. but i need help gathering all the logos and uploading them, that and maybe we can do more missing lyrics ones. i have made what i think 6 of them and nobody has played them…

  16. A “Most Populous US Cities” game, but just cities ranked 100-200, i.e. don’t start with NYC, LA, Chicago, etc.

  17. Name the TV theme by missing verse.

Several popular shows and their themes have longer versions with verses that aren’t (regularly) part of the opening credits.

Ex. Will Smith – Fresh Prince of Bel Air has a middle verse about the plane ride in first class. Welcome Back Kotter, and Who Are You (CSI Theme by the Who) also have middle verses…

  18. I would like to see one of MLB Stadiums all time with all the variations of the name to be listed. For example: You have to name AT&T and PacBell or Sunlife Stadium and Land Shark Stadium

  19. I’d like to see figure out the lyrics quizzes that aren’t Beatles or Disney songs. Maybe Elton John or Elvis.
