The spillover from Boston into Rhode Island is listed as having a larger population than all of Rhode Island put together. Something is a little fishy.

It is misleading to call these metros. Metropolitan areas (MSAs) are different from CSAs; for instance, the New York MSA does not contain any part of Connecticut (which is why I did not guess New York : CT). You should be more explicit with regards to exactly what you are measuring.

Well, I tried to indicate that I was using CSAs in the description of the quiz (the example was Atlanta Alabama, which definitely requires a CSA), although I had to sort of hint at it since I maxed out the characters. In my last quiz, I got flack for using MSAs instead of CSAs, so I switched on this one. Go figure. The Rhode Island figure was put together by summing the counties that were part of the Boston CSA. I don't know why the numbers disagree, but it isn't a huge disparity and the numbers are roughly identical (about 25,000 difference between my number and state census).

Why the low ratings? I enjoyed this quiz!

The CSAs have been under-used at sporcle. Kudos! I don't understand how they are determined, though. I thought Hartford-Springfield would be combined, but they aren't.

I guessed "Providence - MA", but I had no thought that Boston's metro would spill over into Rhode Island.
