Please drop the Name of the main contiguous part of the country for the US, as this is not a formal name by any means, or at least accept many alternatives, such as '48 states', 'lower 48', and even though it is incorrect 'continental United States'. The problem is that there is no common defined name for the 48 states.

It accepts 'Contiguous' 'Conterminous' 'Coterminous' 'Continental' and 'Continuous' United States (as well as each of those words alone) in addition to 'Lower 48' and 'CONUS' and I added '48 States' if there are any others let me know

I think it is reasonable to ask for a name for the contiguous United States (or another name for it) because I think it is common enough to refer to it and I think that taking it out would mean taking out the French names, too, which can also have variations depending on context; I'll see how it goes and may take it out if it seems unfair

The Continental US also includes Alaska under some definitions.

many of the departments are unclear. Corsica and new caledonia are both non-mainland, maybe a quick description of their location. i.e. department in caribbean.

Nice one. Check out my quizzes on the countries that border France and the United States, counting overseas areas and exclusive economic zones.

@Zeke: with all your additions, it is OK, but your reasoning for including it is not. I don't think that you have to take out the French version just because you take out the US version. Parallelism for the sake of parallelism isn't necessary. Ask the questions, which make sense for the particular country in question, and don't ask the questions where it doesn't make sense.
