In Men In Black his main occupation is the title job. In Bad Boys and I, Robot (the two detective answers) he's not a secret government agent. So one can deduce that detective isn't the answer for MIB.

I might be willing to let it go though, if only because I honestly don't remember if he was a detective or just an undercover officer.
