@Camden...why would a jockey pose for the cover of SI with a basketball under his arm?
And Joe Torre doesn't look black. He looks like a dark-skinned person of mediterranean descent whose face is mostly in shadow (which you can tell by the right side of his face that isn't in shadow).

I missed the same three as most people. All I could think of as an early 70s 49er QB was John Brodie, and I thought the backcourt magician of that era was Pistol Pete Maravich!
