	It's sort of pointless to lump together movies made for commercial television with movies made for HBO and other such pay channels. Yes, I suppose both are technically TV movies but a film like Something the Lord Made has essentially nothing in common with a true TV-movie like Jesse Stone: Death in Paradise. Also, why would this be in Just for Fun and not in Television?

	@moviegoer74 1) Daily Dose Missing Word quizzes generally get categorized under Just for Fun (where the missing word sub-category resides and 2) You're entitled to your opinion on what qualifies as a "true" TV movie, however all these movies would be defined televison movies by Academy of Television Arts & Sciences regardless of style or quality which is what you're refering to (BTW, I agree that Something the Lord Made exceeds the standards of most TV movies) I also tried to include a wider variety of films both from premium channels, which tend to produce higher quality movies, as well as the basic US networks as not all people subscribe to premium networks. (BTW, the basic networks have produced some fine award-winning tv movies over the years just not as much recently. However awards and critique are both matters of opinion which isn't what this quiz is about.) Thanks for your comments and for playing though.

	I didn't realize that about the missing word category. As for the TV-movie thing, it's not just a matter of quality. Certainly I agree there have been many quality TV movies on basic television. Brian's Song was such a one, if memory serves. But I think movies made and and intended to be interrupted by commercials are really a different form of entertainment than movies made to be shown as, well, movies. The one is really just long-form television and the other is truly a movie, albeit not in a theater. (Being shown on HBO prior to being released in theaters is what prevented The Last Seduction from being eligible for the Oscars).

	@moviegoer74 I see your point and think that makes a lot of sense. Commercial interruption does change how your movie is received. However the industry does lump these movies together and I'm not going to just arbitrarily make up what is or isn't a tv movie. It would be like refusing to acknowledge in a baseball quiz the existence of the AL because of the DH. Two seperate sets rules changes the strategy of the game and MLB recognizes both regardless of what a baseball purist may think. Also as I said I wanted this quiz to be playable by more than just pay-cable subscribers. I didn't include anything that's not a tv movie by industry standards (in fact many ,though not all, like Mother May I..., of these were pulled from a list of Emmy nominees). Your issue is with the industry, this is just a Sporcle quiz.

	It's amazing how quickly some of these came back to me. Some very good well known choices in here mixed with some that were really challenging to try to remember.

	All I got was High School Musical and Sarah, Plain, and Tall. I watch regular movies for than TV-based movies.

	I've actually seen the Texas Cheerleader one. It was about a mom who supposedly tried to have a high school cheerleader killed so her daughter could get on the team. Apparently, cheerleading in Texas is serious business!
