	I lived in Switzerland for a few years, and if I remember correctly, the official status of Romansch language is somewhat ambiguous. I was always taught it is a "national language"--symbolically recognized--but not really an official language, which would constitute offices government using it their operations.

	Belgium has two official languages of theoretically equal status: Flemish and French. How on earth (especially if you're including Romansch as one of Switzerland's four official languages) isn't Flemish an official language?

	Although i'm probably going to be banned for saying this, is it possible that 1 out of 3 people knew that Bislama is a creole language which is one of the official ones in the Republic of Vanuatu? Phew, either I'm very stupid or people just chose it randomly

	@osasunaitor, Vanuatu is famous around these parts for having the highest density of languages of any country in the world(Including PNG). Combine with the fact that, well, it's Sporcle, and 1 out of every 3 people got it.

	starvenger: I lived in Hong Kong for 15 years and sorry, Cantonese has no official status in Hong Kong. According to the Basic Law, the official languages are Chinese and English. Government documents are drafted in both Traditional Chinese and English, while in the Legislative Council, a legislator can use Cantonese, Mandarin or English. It is true that Cantonese is the most widely used language though.

	@shakescene/zalkon2004/guide: Dutch is an official language of Belgium. West and East Flemish are two of the four dialects of Dutch spoken in Belgium together with Brabantian and Limburgish. These dialects are also spoken in parts of the Netherlands. There is no language called Flemish.

	Good quiz. I don't see what's fundamentally different between the status of Assamese and West Frisian and that of Xhosa and Romansh for example.
