I can see Maryland not being in the list, since "y" functions as a vowel in that one, but in New Jersey, the y acts more as a consonant...the e previous to it is the vowel sound. Maybe to avoid the issue you could put in the instructions that we should always/never count y as a vowel.

@jenb - New Jerey is a bonus, but it wasn't showing up - it's fixed now! I think that will cover it - people who think of Y s a consonant will get a bonus, those who don't will still get them all right! Y is definitely a vowel in Maryland! Thanks for playing, everybody!

i completely forgot about new jersey but i live in there FAIL!!!!! great game 5 stars if you fix NJ
