| A few suggestions: Like jubu97rn said, Clavulanate is NOT the active ingredient in amoxil. Amoxil is JUST amoxicillin. So that answer is actually wrong.
Clavulanate is added to penicillin antibiotics to add resistance to beta-lactamase. So clavulanate is an active ingredient in Augmentin (amoxicillin-clavulante) and Timentin (ticarcillin-clavulanate).
Also, I'd suggest you specify that you want the *brand names* of medications. Almost all of these drugs are available as generics. Even though you said that generic names are accepted, they weren't. For example Zocor is available as a generic -- the generic name is simvastatin. But if you enter simvastatin the quiz won't accept it (and it sorta defeats the purpose of the quiz if the answer is the same as the clue!!)
Finally, most of these are the active ingredients in more than one brand name drug. If you're a medical professional I'd suggest consulting Epocrates for a complete list. |
