	Also, Sierra Leone is 11 letters. What about the "of America" for the United States? This is always a tricky thing, deciding what is official and what is common. What are we going for here?

	why accept abbreviations for some and not others? Also Sierra Leone and Republic of the Congo are missing, and certain full names (e.g. Micronesia) are counted where others (e.g. People's Republic of Korea) are not

	Needs a big revision. Also Bosnia Herzegovina isn't listed, as is St. Vincent and the Grenadines. What about the blanks?

	Consider using the commonly accepted Sporcle abbreviations: http://www.sporcle.com/games/tahitiwahini/common_country_name_alternatives @tjvhammer: Federated States of Micronesia is the standard Sporcle common name for Micronesia (which is the commonly accepted abbreviation). Micronesia is also a region in Oceania that encompasses a number of countries.

	I think you need to do some better research. For example, it is not Liechtenstein, it is Principality of Liechtenstein. Similarly: Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. If you add all these qualifiers, your list will change considerably.

	Interesting quiz, but as balatjr says the list would change considerably if you used countries official names universally. Other examples are UK, is officially The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northen Ireland, South Africa is the Republic of South Africa, Singapore would make the list as it is officially The Republic of Singapore, and there are many more. It just seems if you are going to use some places opfficial names, you need to do that universally.
