I believe since I made this quiz I can choose which exceptions I would like to include, as long as I inform the quiz taker in the instructions. Please be a little more courteous.

And for the sake of anyone else who doesn't read the instructions, I changed the order around so that D.C. is NOT the first one you have to guess.

@wordcrosspuzzler... perhaps you should not force us to guess in order, i always find those quizzes obnoxious, but other wise great quiz!

also, reverse the order... make #1, first so it goes in ascending order

REM80s, if I didn't make you guess in order, you would just be guessing all 50 states and you would get them all easily. Also, my previous comment explains why I reversed the order (plus it's cooler to count down to #1). Thanks for the comment.

I think the reverse order works against this quiz.... "Quick, name the 14th highest college grad percentage rate". Maybe because its so unconventional its a different twist and some people will like the novelty, but for me it didnt work

You do mention it in the comments, but the title and setup made it so straightforward that I didn't even look at the game note. I'm sure others did the same. Might want to consider retitling it somehow? Not sure how that would work, but worth a shot. Great idea for a quiz.

The results show that a decent number of people are getting the answers. I mean, there are harder quizzes out there, some of them are even published. I like this quiz as it is.
