The size of a country is directly proportional to the number of native speakers in that country. The first map (not numbered) shows the land area of all countries of the world.

Amazing quiz. First I though Wtf but then I kind of figured it out and got 9 correct answers.

Good quiz. One nitpick, number 17's picture says 18 so there are two 18s right now.

I came here from rockgolf's quiz and I would suggest that like his quiz, you put the standard, unchanged map at the beginning to make it a bit easier.

Maybe include a note on what the colors mean in the map (I assume color is related to the number or percentage of speakers in the country, but it's not clear how).

@all; One 18 now changed to a 17 and a standard world map added to the beginning. I have also switched out the least guessed answer for another.

I'm not sure these maps are good at describing the intended effect. A lot of them look really similar--everything is squished except for some country in Asia and you can't tell which one it is. Heat maps would be much more descriptive.

With some countries it is really hard to tell which they are, because they just bubble. Some give us very distinctive features (Greek Islands, Baja California), but others don't as much.

Especially the Thai and Korean maps looked a lot like each other.

Great fun. I had to flip back to the base map most of the time to figure out which country I was looking at--but by doing that, I ran out of time 3/4 of the way through. Another two minutes would be nice.

Great quiz! I agree that more time is needed with all the switching back and forth between the maps and the asnwer boxes. One question, perhaps it's my ignorance, but why were Bahasa Indonesia and Bahasa Malay not accepted but Indoensian was, and presumably also Malay as that's what it came up as?
