	I suggest you mark likely incorrect code strings as incorrect, if that's possible — in other words, entering the code when you only have four of a possible five should have the same effect as making an incorrect guess.

	Funny thing about Curling: hardly anybody plays or watches it in Germany normally, but during the Olympics it's one of the most talked about sports over here, with everybody being an expert on the Canadian skip and the costly mistake he made three years ago.

	@atakdog: I think so too, having completed column one that way. I thought it was family, not group, but didn't want to risk the quiz on it, and saw a safe way of finding out.

	you know what would be cooler about this specific minefield quiz is if you answered a wrong answer it closed out that specific box instead of ending the whole quiz.

	How on earth is China not in the G8? It is the most populous country and one of the two most powerful countries on earth! The G8 is way too Euro-centric.

	Wiggytitch: Forgive me if I'm missing something here, I made this same comment for your first Mini-Minefields Quiz: Can you make the instructions clearer / more accurate? (The purpose of entering the codes is really ONLY to complete each category for the purposes of ending the game -- which applies only to those who get ALL 30 correct without tripping a mine. You can get all 30 correct answers and the game will not end until all codes have been entered. The purpose of the code is NOT to "to avoid the incorrect answers" because codes are only available/applicable once you have ALREADY entered 5 correct answers in a category without erring! ... at that point there IS no risk of guessing another choice wrong, so there is no point in "deactivating" the two mines left). Isn't this more accurate: "There are 7 possible answers in each set, but only 5 are correct. ANY wrong answer is a mine and will end the quiz. Type in the correct answers, and a number or letter will appear next to each one. All 5-character codes MUST be typed in to complete each set, or the game will not end."

	Minor trivia note -- Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields Forever were released as a double-A sided single (there was no "B" side). It was the first Beatles single in years not to reach #1 in the UK (though it did in the US as I just found out).

	Just reading Wikipedia -- the BBC counted the songs as two individual singles and attributed half of the sales to each song. Had they counted it as a single song, it would have easily been #1.

	technically you could just guess/check for the codes... for example the first one if you got the 4L9X part of the code, you can just type every letter/number until you hit it, guessing the P, but then it could have also been between the L and 9.. Just seems like too much work.... i managed to get them all, but took me about 5-6 tries

	I feel stupid. Even after reading all these comments I have no idea what I'm supposed to be entering. THe heading is a category, and the hints are lists of things in the category… what am I guessing?

	I wish the whole quiz didn't end when you hit a mine. I prefer that once you hit a mine, that one section can shut off but you can still do the other sections.

	This quiz made me nervous, mainly out of the embarrassment that I breezed through Olympic Sports and sweat bullets over G8 Nations. Apparently skipping directly to the sports page of the newspaper has its downsides.

	@dalheim and others; I'd have preferred that too, but couldn't work out how to code it. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. @needapausebutton; Unfortunately, I can't change anything now, but I'll definitely make the description clearer if/when I make a third.

	Very nicely done! I find it amusing Italy, France and Canada are part of the G8 when they are 21st 23rd and 35th in terms of populous, respectively.

	g8 was tough and I was halfway through typing Faramir when I remembered what the catagory was. It's weird how pippin is accepted but not frodo. Lost on the beetles catagory...

	Waterskiing is not practised in the Olympic Games, but anyway, it's recognised as one. So that may be confusing.

	New England is not a state. It's a region which includes 6 different states. (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut)

	The G8 excludes China and Brazil [ 2nd and 6th biggest economies respectively]. The UK and France have expressed desire to include China, India, Mexico, South Africa and Brazil permentantly. These countries have met at G8+5 meetings

	'Race' is not a taxonomic rank. While 'Group' is not a major rank (kingdom, phylum, class, order, family, genus, species) it is a minor rank in zoology for lepidoptera (see wikipedia page for taxonomic rank).
