	Alfred the Great (or Alfred of Wessex) should be acceptable as the first King of England, since he was the first to unite the Anglo-Saxon kingdoms.

	Ditto Golden_Kumquat. There were plenty of people who could be called "King of England" before William the Conqueror. Alfred the Great makes a lot of sense. However, Egbert was the first of that line and and he ruled over a lot of Britain. Starting with William skips all of the native English houses...

	@callmethor I would agree with you, as it seems that the standard used was the NHA, which Ottawa won that league's first title in 1910. The NHA would dissolve and become the NHL in 1918, with the first champion being Toronto that same year.

	Golden_Kumquat and ari18, in the game note it says that the monarchs are from 1066 onwards. William is also the first in the English monarchs quiz. But anyway, thanks for the publish, Sporcle!

	Short point about the triple crown winners, it's ambiguous if the question wants the US triple crown (kentucky, preakness belmont), or as UK users would read it, the UK triple crown (2000 guinneaus, derby, st leger), which oh so sharp won in 1985, 7 years after affirmed. In fact, most other countries have a triple crown of some sort.

	Cool concept, but the phrasing is certainly awkward for some of the questions. Earth really doesn't make sense for "first planet discovered" discovered being the key word. And a lot of these lists are open ended so it should be "most recent" instead of "last" (US President, NHL Champion, etc).

	Completely agree with those above for the 'King of England' question. If you are going to have it from 1066 you should really state that.

	As others have pointed out, William was most definitely not the first monarch of England. Also, while Delaware was the first state to adopt the Constitution, all thirteen of the original states were created simultaneously by the Lee-Adams resolution in 1776.

	It's been said, but I really don't think you can have William I as the first king of England - I know it says "English monarchs since 1066" in the description, but that makes as much sense as putting "US Presidents since 1861" in the header and then having Lincoln as the answer. Otherwise though, excellent quiz!

	Its a bit miss leading to have the first monarch of England/Britain which are two different things. Technically Britain wasn't formed until the act of union in 1707 which would mean Queen Anne should also be an acceptable answer

	This quiz has wrong information. The last element by atomic number should be Ununoctium, not Capernicium. Capernicium has an atomic number of 112, while Ununoctium has an atomic number of 118, making it the final element on the periodic table.

	@yellowdart5, I think he means their last released album as a band, "One" was not produced nor released by the Beatles. @howard38, that's because "Abbey Road" was the last recorded album, "Let It Be" was the last released album

	During all the history of humankind until Copernicus, a "planet" was a heavenly body that shone like a star but moved against the background of the "fixed" stars. Therefore, the planets were Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. It's impossible to know which of them was the first to be "discovered" by the primitive man. But of course nobody thought of the Earth as a planet. It was only the steady ground under the feet, not a heavenly body.
