Humor Risk, The House That Shadows Built, and The Story of Mankind are bonus answers.

You should match this up with films by The Beatles. Then we could have a Marx & Lennon film fest.

Fun quiz! And Duck Soup is my all-time favorite comedy

Awesome quiz. I'm kind of ashamed I only got 7 out of 13.

Great quiz but missed - Humor Risk (1931) & The House That Shadows Built (1957). 100% without those.

I don't know where you're getting your info grmy. Humor Risk was 1921 according to IMDB, and House was 1931. In any case, Humor Risk was a silent short and House was a clip reel. I'm not familiar with it but it sounds like something along the lines of MGM's That's Entertainment series. Clearly, neither title should be in this quiz.

"Humor Risk" and "The House That Shadows Built" are bonus answers, so you don't need to know those for 100%. The years that Moviegoer74 gives are the correct ones and are those that are listed in the quiz (I don't where Grmysue got those years from).

Fun quiz! I'm kicking myself because I couldn't remember "Go West"...

i jumped into this quiz, excited as a Marx Brothers fan...only to start it and only have four come to mind. i'm not as familiar with their later stuff (save A Night in Casablanca)...but to miss Horse Feathers? A Day at the Races? Cocoanuts??? i think i'm sleep deprived. somebody bring me some prive to replace it. while you're at it, call me a doctor. if i don't answer, try my name. if i'm not making much sense, it's because i don't have exact change. and if i were to exact change, you'd call me a revolutionary, but not of my own volition...or revolition. (damn it, i'm gonna be going like this all night now...)

Thought I had my first published quiz, until I remembered my version got about 30 plays.

The only one I missed was Love Happy. I guess I'm not as big a Marx Brothers fan as I thought I was. You can't fool me! There ain't no Sanity Clause!

Interesting omission of the 1957 Irwin Allen film as a bonus. I wouldn't have included it either, but I've seen it included on some lists.

i only got 8 - it's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard!

Missed Room Service too. :( But not seen that one. A Night At The Opera is my fav, just edges past Duck Soup for me. "What would you give me to set fire to your beard?"

Hey Admin...it went unaddressed at the time, and you'll probably never see this, but why did this get published and not the one by DanTravers? They seem to be identical quizzes and Dan's, created on September 24, 2009, seems to have been first.

"Hello, I must be going". I am meeting "Lydia the tattooed lady" "at the circus". She's a tough woman when i suggest something "whatever it is she's against it".In a "wacky" event, the "animal crackers" I bought for her from "the big store" were crushed by "the coconuts" falling from the trees, but enough of that "monkey business". We then went on to have "a day at the races" and tried to make up for the other incident by buying her "some-a tootsie fruitsie ice-a cream". It didn't work because the spoon was "rusty" and it had a "firefly" on it. I didn't think I would win anything because my "horse had feathers(horsefeathers). After that disaster I stole "his excellency's car" and took her for "a night at the opera". First we went to dinner and I ordered her some "duck soup" "and two hard-boiled eggs". I didn't want this night to end because I did not want to be "alone". I wanted to feel "love happy" and fulfilled. Because "everyone says I love you" and I never get to. So to make sure the night didn't end we went for a "night in Casablanca" and ordered room service. In the morning we decided to "go west" and head back home to America. Did we really run into a "harp player" and a pianist on the way back, "you bet your life."
