I find it hard to believe that Brazil, Greece, Belgium, South Korea, and Israel don't allow women to vote. I find it harder to believe that a woman (Helen Sulzman) could be elected to Parliament in South Africa in the 70's when she couldn't even vote.

Ok, that should be corrected and added. Also, South Africa allowed white women during the 1920s I forget the exact year. Obviously, with the end of apartheid, all people could vote

It's not an exhaustive list, I know, but I just went with the countries listed on the source. Anyway, Saudi Arabia is the only country that allows men to vote but not women. I know that not every country has democratic elections, but it would still turn into a 'list every country you can think of' quiz.

OK, I've changed the quiz so that you have to name only the first 50 countries to grant women's suffrage, and I used a different source. Enjoy.

South Africa and New Zealand should have asteriks. New Zealand was indeed the first country to allow (white) women to vote nationally, but Maori women only got the vote in unfortunately 1987. in South Africa, non whites (of any sex) could not vote in South African elections (but could vote in the so-called Homelands) until 1994. Please put asteriks here

Don't make it so you have to type the asterisk to get the answer; I entered New Zealand, but it wanted New Zealand*. Put the * by the date clue. Also, make it clear that some answers are either colonies (Pitcairn Islands), protectorates (Maldives) or sub-national entities (eg. Tajikistan, not independent at the time).
