If scrabble accepts Hoover, then a case could be for Johnson.

Hoover is a brand name. It is not a playable word in Scrabble. Also, the time should be one minute.

I didn't arbitrarily pick Hoover over Johnson, guys. That's from the Official Scrabble Dictionary.

Yes, Hoover is a brand name. But a common word has been created, saying to hoover rather than to vacuum. Its like when people say they xerox (instead of photocopy) something. (Sorry Xerox corp people, I know you want to protect your copyright and discourage that use of the word.) Usage like that can lead to loss of the copyright, for instance aspirin, which was originally a brand name.

Okay, then. I stand corrected.
