Nice quiz. Just one picky suggestion. Specify that you're looking for countries. I know it's easy enough to figure out but it kind of helps being in the "country mind set" from the get go.

My favorite part of taking this quiz was realizing, about twenty answers in, what number one was. "Ohhhhhhhh..." Nice quiz :)

"US" shouldn't be accepted for United States...I think it's standard practice on Sporcle only to accept "USA." Really interesting quiz, though.

your source article is a little sketchy. i refuse to believe that there are more jews in Iran than in Poland.

And my guess for the country with the lowest Jewish population is...*drumroll*...Vatican City!

I would actually bet on Libya. The last Jewish person supposedly left there in 2003 or so.

I can't help thinking Iran isn't the best place for Jews to live.

@Spl89 it isn't exactly easy for them their but they are protected under the constitution. I'm not sure that they experience more harassment in their daily lives there than they would in Eastern Europe.

I'm pretty sure Nazi Germany saw an end to Poland's Jewish population...

And there's a pretty large American Iranian-Jew community, especially in LA. I'd bet there are more iranian jews in LA than in iran!

@deej - By a longshot. Sooooo many Jews have fled Iran, so that their numbers now reflect maybe 1/4 of what the population used to be. And that is on the high side. Regardless, LA has more than twice the amount of Iranian Jews in Iran
