Nice quiz - made me think but I still missed nearly half. I totally didn't think of microwave, which is funny. I didn't know what more to say besides marinate for ceviche, so I was stumped on that one. And how about coddle?

Suvee is a method you could add.

Accept parboil for blanche. Stir fry seems iffy to me...it's just frying in a different pan. And if you're going to include citrus marinate, there are lots of other non-heat methods for "cooking" food, like salting, curing, drying, jerking....then you leak over into preserving food.

I agree with soshoreman, though it's spelled "sous-vide."

The cooking term "blanch" doesn't have the final e.
