I'd like to thank Johnny Cash's "I've been everywhere" for giving me the top 4 answers.

HELL YES! I live in Louisville, a.k.a. "The 'Ville." (I wonder how many of these other towns claim that?)

Does the entire city claim that nickname? I'd always just associated it with the University. Either way, Louisville is the only place that you can call "the Ville".

The only three places in which I've ever lived were Villes. Way to rep other ones, Sporcle.

Very surprised that Asheville, North Carolina and Greenville, South Carolina didn't make the cut.

Tried all the "villes" in Maryland but none were there ~ I guess too small. Got 6/14.

It's the worst feeling in the world when you think of a funny, witty comment to post thats guaranteed to get positive votes, only to see that some1 else beat you to it, this time, you got me vogz.

Amen, Mr. Negative. In a world where a "Toxic Avenger" reference starts off with two negative votes, who needs positives?

I was so excited that Gainesville would finally be an answer that the only other answers I could think of were Nashville, Brownsville, and Jacksonville.

A bit biased opinion here, but more than 12% should be getting the city that brought America to the Moon.

I've only ever heard Louisville refered to as "The Ville," but I've heard people replace the "ville" with "vegas" so the names become "Nashvegas" or "Clarksvegas."

@Dresq: Charlottesville has a population of 45,000. The cities on this quiz are the Ville cities with a population of 100,000 or more. I've been to Charlottesville, its a nice place

It definitely helped that I am from Nashville, my dad works in Clarksville, my friends go to school in Knoxville, and my mom is originally from Naperville. Lucked out on this one!

Much tougher than one thinks. I was surprised by the absence of Greeneville and Asheville, and surprised that I missed Knoxville. And didn't Titusville, Fla, have something to do with reaching the moon?

Also of all the 'villes in California, only Victorville topped 100,000. No Porterville, Marysville, Susanville, Guerneville, ... And where's Nowheresville, U.S.A.?

Amend above: Roseville, Calif., which I also missed.
