"Jr." should not work for Dale Earnhardt, Jr. or Roy Jones, Jr., their last names should work, though.

How can you not have FIFA? Just can't approve of this quiz because of that.

The reason that FIFA was left out was because there were too many different cover athletes for each year, sometimes upto 3 different athletes, not to mention the other countries that have a different cover athlete as well. Sorry that it was left off.

I did alright for getting none of the hockey ones. I could have swore Roy Williams(Texas) and Marlin Jackson were on the cover of NCAA at some point.

Jared Zabransky was the bad ass QB for Boise St. when they beat Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl in OT. Duh.

Why can't you have 'de la Hoya'? Seems silly seeing as it is his last name

I suggest a FIFA cover game in itself then. And not just name one but all the players on the cover. Don't matter if it's the European version or American. Have both :)

This is a quiz for North American games only, thus the lack of FIFA. I'm hoping there will be a FIFA covers quiz soon, because I spend more time playing FIFA than I do sleeping.

Why wasn't there Triple Play and MVP baseball? Good quiz! Hopefully we get a 2K Sports quiz next. Was anyone else thinking "EA Sports it's in the game"?

I see there's not too many NHL fans around. Of the 3 most recent covers, the most guessed one is at 13.4% guessed.

In addition to FIFA, could have thrown Madden covers back in there too even though they have their quiz, it brings all the knowledge back. Sort of like how there's an NFL/MLB/etc teams quiz and then a Big 4 all encompassing quiz, it adds to the challenge.

It's really hard to remember EA vs 2K...I distinctly remember having the Josh Childress NCAA basketball game and I kept trying his name. And 2K has Kobe on the new cover, so I was confused there, too.

"jr" counts for "dale earnhardt, jr.," (roy jones too), but "earnhardt" or "dale earnhardt" dont? seems backwards.

Some day, when I'm jobless and possibly homeless, I'll wonder why, and then I will look back on the day that I remembered fifty-one EA Sports cover athletes without even getting to name the Maddens.

The "jr" thing is technical. We can set the quiz up to accept "last names only", but it doesn't distinguish "jr" from a last name. To get around this we have to allow alternate answers that are the real last name. Sometimes this gets complicated.

No love for Triple Play/MVP Baseball? "Earnhardt" should be accepted for Dale Earnhardt, Jr. All of the other "athletes'" last names are accepted. Is this quiz implying that his last name is not Earnhardt?

Haha, so everyone who typed in Earnhardt and didn't have Dale Jr register gave up? I threw in "Earnhardt," and then "Earnhardt Jr" right after that. Voila. --And I swore that Palmer and Harrington were Leinart and Carr. Thanks a lot, brain!

Guys, there's another quiz specially for Madden. It couldn't hurt to have it on this quiz but it would render the other quiz irrelevant.

The NHL '94 one was rough. IIRC, the Kings' player back was turned but they airbrushed out all of the names and numbers for both teams.

I know way more about football and basketball than I do about car racing, but somehow I got more NASCAR answers than anything else. I think it has something to do with all the repeats...

Earnhardt should work for Dale Earnhardt Jr. "Earnhardt Jr." is not his last name. I am a "Junior" but my last name is not "Switzer Jr.". It's "Switzer". Also, @dmoney, JJ Redick was on College Hoops 2K7 from 2K Sports, not the EA game.

I just realised that you can have 'Hoya', but not 'de la Hoya'. This is plain incorrect. By that logic, you think that 'Oscar de la' is his first name. This needs to be changed.
