McKenzie Arena completed as a joint venture between the city and state governments with UTC
University Centennial Celebration
Scrappy, the Mockingbird, was adopted as the new campus mascot; The UTC Football Team moved to Finley Stadium/Davenport Field in the city's Southside district.
