Had no idea what this meant, so I had to look it up. Definitions are here: http://www.lboro.ac.uk/gawc/gawcworlds.html. After reading the definitions, funniest thing to me is that Washington is not an Alpha-something. And hey, let's go Buffalo, a "Sufficiency City!"

Um, I guess my constructive comment, then, is that you should probably describe what the heck you're looking for (what IS an Alpha city?) rather than expecting people to just name cities at random, like I did.
