Also this list is very inaccurate, you've credited players for HR they hit while at other positions. A-Rod for example has not hit 583 HR as a SS, he has played SS and hit 583 HR but not all as a SS, Banks played SS and hit 512 career HR so he shoudl be on this list by that logic.

ctbrainiacs: Sorry about that. Thanks for the correction I fixed it Etheridge2: I see your point but the positions are based on which position they played the most games at, and not by what position the player was occuping when he hit each home run. For example A-rod may have hit alot of his home runs as a third baseman, but those home runs carry over and the only number that matters in the rankings is his total number of home runs. As for Ernie Banks. He does have more home runs than the other shorstops but he played the majority of his games at first base. 1259 games at first and 1125 games at shortstop according to baseball refrence (http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/b/bankser01.shtml?redir). yankees85: Sorry about that. Thanks for the correction. I fixed it.
