| Unicupolt, this is a really good idea. I had no problem understanding that you wanted states with exactly 3 vowels, even if they were the same vowel, as in Ohio. But I do think you should add Maryland, Wyoming, and Kentucky. As mrprocrastinator said, it's not whether *you* use y as a vowel, it's about grammar rules. Though you may not realize it, you do use y as a vowel if you use words like baby, lady, etc. Any y that has a vowel sound is being used as a vowel. When it is used with the "ya" sound as in yellow, yoyo, yard, then it is considered a consonant. It is what it is, and the grammar rules should apply, and people are expecting that you wouldn't change the rules. In Wyoming, the y is taking the place of the long i sound. In Kentucky, it sounds like a long e. Please don't take offense, I'm just trying to help. I would score it a 5 if it had those additions. Even so, I still had fun with the quiz. :) |
