Speaking no Spanish whatsoever, I was reduced to trying to remember the names of popular Mexican foods ("Chile CON Carne!"), songs by Santana ("Oye COMO Va!"), songs from watching Sesame Street and Dora The Explorer with my kids ("Hace calor, SI SI Senor!") and even the Spanish warning that the doors are about to close on the monorails at Disney World ("POR favor, matangan SE alejado DE LAS puertas!") Under the circumstances, I consider getting 25 of 50 a minor miracle. |
